★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 出羽川の河岸段丘上に存在する一辺が約8.3mと10.8m、高さ1mの、四隅が突出した特異な墳丘である。墳丘墓の斜面には川原石を張りめぐらし、斜面の裾には棒状の列石がまわしてある。
また墳丘墓をとりまく溝の中には、円形状に小石を立てならべた三つのストーンサークルが存在し、この付近から粉砕された土器が出土している。埋葬者を納めた施設としては石棺2、木棺1がある。
この墳丘墓は弥生時代後期に造られたと考えられるもので、古墳の発生を考えるうえで大変参考になるものである。昭和45年（1970）10月、県の史跡に指定された。
 It is a unique mound with 8.3m and 10.8m sides and 1m height on the banks of the Dewa River, with four protruding corners. On the slope of the mound tomb, river stones are stretched out, and at the hem of the slope, there are rod-shaped stones.
Also, in the groove surrounding the tomb grave, there are three stone circles in which pebbles are arranged in a circular shape, and crushed earthenware has been excavated from this area. There are 2 sarcophagus and 1 sarcophagus as facilities for burial persons.
This mound tomb is thought to have been built in the latter half of the Yayoi period, and is a very helpful reference when considering the occurrence of an old mound. It was designated as a historic site in the prefecture in October 1970.
