★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 真言律宗の宗祖・叡尊上人の荼毘所。境内にある重文の興正菩薩五輪塔（鎌倉時代）は一見の価値あり。叡尊上人や元寇にまつわる逸話などを知ってから訪れればより興味深い体験となるかも。普段は閉じられている本堂にある本尊は地蔵菩薩像で、十六世紀の寄木造の仏像で美しく状態も非常によい（本堂内は撮影不可）。近辺には高い建物もなく、庭園の高台にも上がれるので、さまざまな角度から広大な仏教的世界観を感じ取れる。
The crematorium of Eison, the founder of the Shingon Risshu sect. The Important Cultural Property of the Bodhisattva Bodhisattva (Kamakura period) in the precincts is worth a visit. It may be a more interesting experience if you visit after learning about the anecdotes about Eison and the Mongol invasion. The principal image of the main hall, which is normally closed, is the Jizo Bodhisattva statue, which is a parquet Buddha statue of the 16th century and is in very good condition (the inside of the main hall cannot be photographed). There are no tall buildings in the vicinity, and you can climb up to the hills of the garden, so you can feel the vast Buddhist world view from various angles.
