今でも 正月の初詣は大勢の参詣客を集め、その数は 全国第3位と言われるほどです。
京浜急行大師線の川崎大師駅を降りてホームに隣接した場所に この碑が建っています。
この石碑は京浜急行電鉄創立70周年を記念して、発祥の地である川崎大師駅に京浜急行電鉄(株)が設置したものです。
京浜急行電鉄は明治31年2月25日大師電気鉄道(株)として創設され、明治32年1月21日初めての路線として六郷橋～大師区間での営業を開始しました。
同年4月大師電気鉄道(株)は京浜電気鉄道(株)と改称し、昭和23年6月に現在の京浜急行電鉄(株)と改称されました。

In April of the same year, Daishi Electric Railway Co., Ltd. changed its name to Keihin Electric Railway Co., Ltd., and in June 1954, it changed its name to the current Keihin Electric Railway Co., Ltd.
