★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 鶴巻遺跡は，市の東部にあり，JR仙石線の福田町の南約1㎞にある。七北田川下流の西岸，標高3～4mの自然堤防に立地しており，面積は約89,400㎡である。七北田川の旧河道の北側と南側で鶴巻Ⅰ遺跡(約67,300㎡)と鶴巻Ⅱ遺跡(約21,100㎡)に分かれている。昭和54年(1979)，原町東部第三土地区画整理事業に伴って仙台市教育委員会による発掘調査が実施された。遺構は発見されていないが，平安時代の土師器や須恵器などが出土している。
 The Tsurumaki site is located in the eastern part of the city, about 1 km south of Fukudamachi on the JR Senseki Line. It is located on the west bank of the lower reaches of the Nanakita River, on a natural levee at an altitude of 3 to 4 m, and has an area of approximately 89,400 m2. It is divided into the Tsurumaki I site (about 67,300 m2) and the Tsurumaki II site (about 21,100 m2) on the north and south sides of the old river channel of the Nanakita River. In 1979, an archaeological excavation was conducted by the Sendai City Board of Education in connection with the third land readjustment project in the eastern part of Haranomachi. No remains have been found, but Haji pottery and Sue pottery from the Heian period have been excavated.
