★ ★ ★ ★ ★ もうすでに50年以上は経っていて全盛期には藤原小学校の裏をSLの貨物列車が走り悪天候の時には雷の避雷針に第二次世界大戦時のでアメリカの戦闘機が煙突にぶつかった残骸が在ったなぁスカイツリーの様にライトアップしてくれたらね〜市長さんお願いしまぁす

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 重厚長大型の産業遺産です。下から見上げてもかなりの迫力です。磯鶏駅からでも徒歩30分程度の軽いハイキングで真下まで行けます。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 宮古を初めて訪れた際に初めて目にしましたが、圧倒されました。霧や雨に煙ると更に雰囲気が増して、大煙突というか｢ラサの塔｣と呼びたい。

昭和14年6月、ラサ工業（株）宮古工場精錬所の創業と同時に完成。
日本第2位の高さを誇るコンクリート製の大煙突で、高さは160mですが標高90mの「煙突山」の山上にあるため、
地上からの高さは250mにもなる。
煙突は未だに現役で使用されている。
戦時中は2度ほど空襲の被害も受けてた。

Completed at the same time as the establishment of Miyako Factory Smelter & Refining Co., Ltd. in June 1964.
It is the second largest concrete chimney in Japan and is 160m in height, but because it is located on the top of "Chimney Mountain" with an altitude of 90m,
The height from the ground is 250m.
The chimney is still in active use.
During the war, I was also hit by two air raids.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 走行中に目に入ってきた巨大な煙突にびっくり‼️目標に向かって進めば進むほど、その大きさに驚くばかり。
昔は煙突の根本まで行けたみたいですが、2021年9月時点では道路が封鎖されていました。
