曹洞宗のお寺で融興山端岩寺といい、霊場第八番札所になります。
御本尊は十一面観世音菩薩「平等王」です。
昭和三十三年の火災で全堂宇灰燼に帰したが、昭和三十八年に現在の本堂が竣工された。
境内仏として岩山の中腹に不動堂があり、不動明王が安置されている。

今時はセイヨウニンジンボクが秋らしく咲いてます。

融興山 瑞岩寺 (ゆうこうざん ずいがんじ)
秩父市黒谷にあって、裏山の岩つつじが市の天然記念物になっている曹洞宗のお寺です。本尊は十一面観音菩薩になります。かなりの古刹ながら昭和33年に堂宇は焼失してしまって、現在の本堂は同38年に竣工したものだそうです。わたし的には本堂左手にある急な階段を登った所にある不動堂が好きです。三十四観音札所の橋立堂を思わせる岩壁が、まるでお堂に覆いかぶさるかのようで迫力があります。

Mt. Fukouzan Mizuiwaji Temple
Located in Kuroya, Chichibu City, it is a temple of the Soto sect whose back mountain rock azalea is a natural monument of the city. The principal image is the eleven-faced Kannon Bodhisattva. Although it is a fairly old temple, Dou was burnt down in 1958, and the current main hall is said to have been completed in 1938. Personally, I like Fudodo, which is located up the steep stairs on the left side of the main hall. The rock wall reminiscent of the Hashidatedo of the 34 Kannon Fudasho is powerful as if it covers the temple.
