自生地とのことですが実は南アメリカ原産の外来種です。道の駅で売ってました。
Water hyacinth is an aquatic plant with beautiful purplish blue flowers. A sidewalk was maintained for ornamental purposes.
Although it is a native species, it is actually an exotic species native to South America. It was sold at the roadside station.
