★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place to visit although the temperature is very different from what at the base so do take care and not to forget take low temperature measures.the price is 3000yen per person feels a little high as the service of the rope way is not worthy but the views for the top covers all .the trees there looks very different (like cristmas tree) covered in snow.a must go place if you’re in the region.

But it was incredibly beautiful place there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Open all year. Two stages. Get off first stage for Utopia slopes in ski season or hiking to Irohanuma in green season. Note that the chairlift will not accept snowshoes in winter, only skiis/boards.
In busy periods with foreign tourist buses, queues can be terrible from 10am. They should bring back time slot chits like back in the bubble era when it was a ski boom.
Tip: it can be better to walk to the Chuo ropeway and vice versa rather than skiing over at the top if time is limited.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely a destination for winter wonder sights and sites. Two gondola rides takes you to the top walk amongst the snow monsters for non-skiers. There are other routes that skiers can take that involves some skiing between the lifts. WORD FOR THE UNINITIATED: CASH ONLY for the gondola rides. Plus check which line to join as there are both the gondola ride (up in the main building) and the ski lift rides and the queues can be very long to buy your ticket, then to actually get to the gondola.
