令和元年台風第19号の被害により、当面の間遊歩道が全面通行止めになります。
現在、復旧のめどは立っておりません。
現場の道路から遊歩道に降りる階段部分にて、規制線（立入禁止テープ）が張られております。
しかしながら、それを無視して入っていくハイカーも散見されます。
As of now, the following is written on the homepage of Nasushiobara City.
Due to the damage caused by Typhoon No. 19 in the first year of Reiwa, the entire promenade will be closed for the time being.
Currently, the prospect of recovery is not standing.
A regulation line (close-up tape) is laid on the stairs that go down from the road to the promenade.
However, there are some hikers ignoring it and entering.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ スッカン沢の絶景を初心者でも安全に歩いて巡れるように整備された歩道です。私が訪れた7月の梅雨明けの頃には、雄飛の滝展望台までは問題なく歩けましたが、その先は、道が怪しくなって来たので駐車場に引き返しました。山道の整備は風水との果てしない戦いでたいへんなことだと思います。私のような楽ちんハイカーはそんな方の御苦労も感じながら素晴らしい景色を楽しんだ方がいいですね。立ち入り禁止箇所が開通したら、またいきたい場所です。
This sidewalk is designed so that even beginners can safely walk around the spectacular view of Sukkanzawa. At the end of the rainy season in July when I visited, I could walk up to the Obi Falls Observatory without any problems. However, the road turned suspicious and I returned to the parking lot. I think that the maintenance of the mountain road is very difficult in the endless battle with Feng Shui. It ’s better for a hiker like me to enjoy the wonderful scenery while feeling the hard work of such a person. Once you've opened a restricted area, you'll want to go again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 大小無数の沢が川に流れ込み、滝になって我々を楽しませてくれます。大自然と道を整備してくれた諸先輩方に感謝!
駐車場含めトイレも自販機もないので事前に済ましておくべきです。
Countless large and small streams flow into the river and become waterfalls that entertain us. Thank you to all the seniors who prepared the road with nature!
There are no toilets or vending machines, including parking lots, so you should do it in advance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 駐車場からスッカン橋まで約1.5km、ノンストップで歩けば片道25分ぐらい。
途中の向こう側と川の本流で3つの滝が見れ、癒されます。
ただ滝の豪快さは無く、トレッキングメインで滝を見るという感じかな。
スッカン橋から先は通行止めなので、ご注意下さい。
It is about 1.5km from the parking lot to Sukkan Bridge, and it takes about 25 minutes one way if you walk non-stop.
You can see and heal three waterfalls on the other side of the way and on the main stream of the river.
However, there is no excitement of the waterfall, it's like seeing the waterfall on the trekking main.
Please note that the road is closed beyond the Sukkan Bridge.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 雪化粧のスッカン沢は雪に氷柱にブルーの流水がとにかく綺麗で何度も訪れたい 冬期は学校平までで通行止めなので この歩道まではかなりの距離を歩かなくてはいけないけど 見る価値は有りますよ。
Sukkanzawa with snow makeup is covered with snow, icicles and blue running water, and I want to visit it many times. In winter, it is closed to school flats, so I have to walk a considerable distance to this sidewalk, but it is worth seeing.
