人型に罪穢れを移した後祝詞をあげてもらい、人型は紙の舟に載せて宮司さんが海に流しに行きます。
更に紙吹雪のようなもので穢れを祓っていただき大祓式は終了しました。
年明け前の23時からなので、式に参加後神社で年明けをむかえるのがよいかもしれません。
外には生姜湯が配られていました。
6月〜7月にも夏越の大祓があるそうですが、地域に馴染みがない茅の輪はつくらず、戦前と同じやり方で行うとのことです。
告知がごくごく内輪のみなので参加者は少なめですが、式は開催時間のみの告知なので準備のため早めに行くことをおすすめします。
本殿上部横にはプロペラがあり、その他建物もそれなりに歴史のあるものだそうです。
宮司さんか氏子さんがいれば詳しくきけそうですが、今回はいそがしくされていたのでざっくりと耳にして終わりました。
