こじんまりとしていて、じっくり見て回っても1時間はかからないので、子供に地元の歴史を教える為にたまに行きます。
I can learn about Yokosen's history.
It is small and it takes less than an hour to take a closer look, so I go occasionally to teach my child the history of the local area.

最初にビデオを見せてくれるが
これがなんと１時間以上
しかも同じ内容が繰り返されるのでちょっと飽きます
いろいろな内容の物を続けて流しているので仕方がないのでしょうが
展示物も横瀬武甲山のお話しかメインで
多少は役に立ちますいろいろな面で
一度くらいは行ってみるのもいいかもね

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 横瀬町の歴史が学べます。入場料は必要ですが、展示の量は結構有ります。
やはり横瀬町は「武甲山」とは切っても切れない関係なので、展示スペースが多数取ってあります。武甲山は自然豊かで様々な信仰の歴史がありますが、石灰が産出された事で今のような特徴ある山様になってしまった経緯もよく分かります。
個人的には横瀬町に伝わる人形劇が気になりました。秩父には歌舞伎や龍勢をはじめとして多数の伝統芸能が伝わっています。それが町単位で伝承されて残っている事がとても興味深いです。
You can learn the history of Yokoze Town. Admission is required, but the amount of exhibits is quite large.
After all, Yokose-cho has a lot of exhibition space because it has an inseparable relationship with Mt. Buko. Mt. Buko is rich in nature and has a history of various beliefs, but it is easy to understand how limestone was produced and it has become a characteristic mountain like today.
Personally, I was interested in the puppet theater that was handed down in Yokoze Town. Many traditional performing arts such as Kabuki and Ryuse are transmitted to Chichibu. It is very interesting that it is handed down in town units and remains.

武甲山についてや横瀬の産業、その変化など安い金額で学べました。内容は濃かったです。
The exhibition at Chichibu Fudasho was good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ２万年前の石槍の展示や縄文式土器。磨製石斧や打製石器など、点数は少ないが見るべきものがある。江戸の秩父札所巡礼の錦絵も良い。
An exhibition of stone spears from 20,000 years ago and Jomon pottery. There are a few points to see, such as a ground stone ax and a lithic reduction device. Nishiki-e of the Chichibu Fudasho pilgrimage in Edo is also good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 多彩で見どころの多い資料館ですが、特に武甲山信仰の変遷に興味のある方にはおすすめです。
武甲山をめぐる信仰の歴史について概説する施設が意外に少ない中で、こちらの資料館には多様な関連資料の展示があり、頒布の解説シートでもよくフォローされています。
また、武甲山と縁の深い「秩父三十四ヶ所」のうち6ヶ所が横瀬に所在するということもあって、納札や番付表、版木などの資料も豊富です。札所巡りの合間に立ち寄られると興味深く見学できるかもしれません。
It is a colorful and interesting museum, but it is especially recommended for those who are interested in the transition of Mt. Buko faith.
While there are surprisingly few facilities that outline the history of the belief around Mt. Buko, this museum has an exhibition of various related materials and is often followed in the explanation sheet for distribution.
In addition, 6 of the "Chichibu 34 Kannon", which are closely related to Mt. Buko, are located in Yokoze, so there are plenty of materials such as bills, numbering tables, and woodblocks. It may be interesting to visit if you stop by during the tour of the ticket office.
