遠	遠藤さん on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 春は境内の桜の花がとてもきれいです。駅チカで商店街の前にあるのにとてもゆっくりできます。谷津観音堂の本尊である木彫十一面観音立像は、像高72.4cmとあります。12年に1度、午の年(うまどし)に御開帳される秘仏で次回は2026年丙午(ひのえうま)です。 The cherry blossoms in the precincts are very beautiful in spring. i	i Zanguse on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 観音堂新築記念碑より日乗院第二十四世大僧正悰隆代碑文観音堂は、むかし皆應寺という眞言宗のお寺に属するお堂であり、その草創は後花園天皇の時代（約五五０年前）にさかのぼるとといわれております。皆應寺は足立坂東三十三ヶ所札所第二十六番でありましたが、明治五年廃寺となり、従って観音堂廃堂となりました。その後観音堂を慕う地元の人々の手によって復興され、安産・子育ての観音様としてあまねくご慈悲の光を與え下されて参りました。ご本尊は二尺一寸一分の木彫立像の十一面観世音菩薩で、特徴は板彫形式であるため頭部の十一面はすべて前方を向いていることであります。また、ご本尊は秘佛とされ十二年毎の牛歳ご開帳の折、一般に公開される慣わしとなっております。この度、お堂の老朽化のため雨漏りの個所も多いことから、町内の役員・有志相計りその新築を呼び掛けましたところ、町内は勿論他町内他市町からも大きなご賛同ご協力を賜わり、昭和五十八年八月起工、昭和五十九年一月お水屋ともども落慶に至り、観音様のご安泰を期し奉ることが出来ました。茲に観音堂新築記念碑を建立して、感謝の意を表明するものであります。昭和五十九年一月吉日観音堂建設委員会撰文 From Kannon-do new monument Nichijoin the 24th priest inscription Kannon-do is a temple belonging to the Buddhist Buddhist sect called Kaiyo-ji Temple.
