★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 大同元年(八〇六）征夷大将軍坂上田村麻呂が当地を征討の節、戦勝祈願の為、霊験あらかたにより勧請されたと伝承されているそうです。
一二〇〇年も前に創建されたのですね。
昭和の遠く白河から来た狛犬さんがいました。
少し強面で、市内ではあまり見かけないような容貌をしていました。
社殿の裏には、夫婦杉、若夫婦杉と、男杉がありました。
隣接した場所でこのような形態の杉が生えているのは珍しいのかもしれないですね。
江戸期の近隣の絵図もあって興味深く参拝させていただきました。
