★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 九郎判官義経公と妻子さま御最後の地と伝わる場所で、義経堂では鎧兜を身にまとわれた美しい義経公の像を拝観する事が出来ます。他にも義経公主従の供養塔、狭いですが資料館、"夏草や 兵共が 夢の跡"と刻まれた俳聖芭蕉句碑があります。何時訪れても、私はこちらからの北上川の景色が大好きです。当時を回顧し、なんとなくもの悲しくなるところです。御朱印は拝観受付所で頂けます。無料駐車場有。
 At the place where Judge Kuro Yoshitsune and his wife and children are said to be the last place, you can see a beautiful statue of Yoshitsune wearing an armored helmet at Gikeido. In addition, there is a memorial tower for Yoshitsune, a small museum, and a monument to Haisei Basho, which is engraved with "Natsukusa and the soldiers are the traces of dreams." Whenever I visit, I love the view of the Kitakami River from here. Looking back on those days, I feel sad somehow. You can get the red stamp at the reception desk. Free parking available.
