★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 安祥寺上寺跡は現在特に何も残っていない。道は整備されておらず危険なので、登らない方がいい。万一登る人は万全の装備かつ派手な目立つ服装で。でなければ大怪我したり、猟師に獣と間違って銃撃される怖れがある。
安祥寺は嘉祥元年（848年）、仁明天皇女御で文徳天皇の母・藤原順子（ふじわらののぶこ）の発願により、恵運（入唐僧）によって創建された。上寺は山中に、下寺は山麓にある。次第に衰退し、応仁の乱で廃寺。下寺は再建されたが上寺は廃絶した。
