★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ジュース自販機のあるプレハブ休憩所に灰皿がある点だけはネック。
トイレもプレハブながら男女別でウォシュレットまで完備で綺麗で明るい。
灰皿さえ外の離れた場所に移動してもらえれば、文句なしの★5つ。
 The only neck is that there is an ashtray in the prefabricated rest area where the juice vending machine is located.
Although the toilet is prefabricated, it is clean and bright with separate washlets for men and women.
If you can move the ashtray to a remote place outside, there are no complaints.

There are many curves and tunnels on the mountain road, and when you get tired of driving, you can stop by for a restroom break or drinks. Listen to the murmuring of the river and hit the wind through the valley to refresh your mood and heal your tiredness.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ トイレがプレハブだけど新しいのでとってもキレイです。自販機も別のプレハブにあって雨の日も大丈夫です。灰皿もあるので喫煙者にはありがたい。
The toilet is prefabricated but it's new and so beautiful. The vending machine is also in a different prefab and can be used on rainy days. There is also an ashtray, so it is appreciated for smokers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 姫川沿いの谷間にボツンとトイレと自動販売機がありました。野菜の販売とかあれば道の駅になるのでしょうけど、人里から遠いのかな。でもトイレがウォシュレットだったのが驚きでした。
There were bots, toilets and vending machines in the valley along the Himekawa River. If you sell vegetables, it will be a roadside station, but I wonder if it is far from the people. But I was surprised that the toilet was a washlet.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ トイレと自販機。駐車スペースは小ぶり。新潟をショートカットして一般道で糸魚川沿いに長野方面へ行く道すがら。少し内陸側に道の駅があるが絶妙な位置。
Toilet and vending machine. The parking space is small. Shortcut Niigata and take a general road along the Itoigawa towards Nagano. There is a roadside station on the inland side, but it is in an exquisite location.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ かつてはここより約500ⅿほど南西に行った所にあったが、工事資材などの置き場になり閉鎖されてしまったので、現在地に新たにパーキングを設けた。しかしながら、トイレはプレハブ小屋に組み込まれて、なんだか味気ない。おまけに自販機もプレハブ小屋に入ってた。これは評価したい。
駐車場の奥には糸魚川市の観光マップとジオパークの案内板。下を覗き込むと姫川の断崖ギリギリだった。
昔の平岩パーキングのほうが良かったなあ。
It used to be about 500 ⅿ southwest of here, but it was closed due to the storage of construction materials, so a new parking lot was set up at the current location. However, the toilet is built into the prefabricated hut and is somewhat dull. In addition, the vending machine was in the prefabricated hut. I want to evaluate this.
At the back of the parking lot is a tourist map of Itoigawa City and a Geopark information board. Looking down, it was the last minute of the cliff of Himekawa.
The old Hiraiwa parking was better.

仮平岩パーキングですが
ココから白馬方面へ５００メートル程行った所が本来の平岩パーキングです。
只今、小滝地区で建設中の新姫川発電所へ水を流す取水口トンネル工事現場になっているので封鎖中です。
工事終了後は、平岩パーキングに戻されて開放されます。

Temporary Hiraiwa parking
The original Hiraiwa parking is about 500 meters from here toward Hakuba.
It is currently closed because it is the construction site of the intake tunnel that allows water to flow to the Shin-Himekawa power plant under construction in the Kotaki area.
After the construction is completed, it will be returned to Hiraiwa Parking and opened.
