Worship near the evening on weekdays There is a parking space on the right side of the entrance where 3-5 cars can be parked. After climbing the long stairs, there is the main shrine You can see the vermilion building where the precincts opened on the mountain appeared The precincts are well maintained and you will be able to visit comfortably. The deities are said to be Emperor Ojin, Himegami, and Princess Breath. It is interesting that it is adjacent to the protected forest and the guardian forest is left as it is, which is rare these days. * Aichi Prefecture Yamanaka Hachimansha Natural Environment Conservation Area Designated as a city natural monument such as Himeharuzemi habitat * Intangible folk cultural property Denden Gassari In the rice planting ritual, there are also actions such as cows falling down because they can not bear the weight due to rice planting and a good harvest. * Pigeon cave A place where Ieyasu is said to have escaped from lurking while fleeing from Ikki It is said that the pigeon flew away from the cave while the gang was searching and it was judged that there was no reason for anyone to escape the difficulty. A company that you want to visit from the location and historical background

Okazaki City Hometown Famous Tree No. 13 ~ Yamanaka Hachimangu Camphor Tree The mountain behind Hachimangu is not so high, so it has an impact on the appearance of camphor tree, which is as high as the mountain. I will put my hands together

There is a lantern in the rice field, so just drop in and you'll get the correct answer. I didn't think I could see such a magnificent and well-known shrine and sacred trees. There are about 130 stairs, and there is a large step, so when you go up to Heahi, it is a large company with an altitude of 106 meters (probably). There was a crest of the Tokugawa family. And there is a sacred tree in the back shrine. It is a shrine that feels very powerful. I was impressed that it was good to go.

A shrine related to Ieyasu Tokugawa. The shrine that Ieyasu prayed for the victory of the first team, the cave that was hidden after losing the battle of Ikko-ikki is the "Hatoga Cave" of good luck. It is also good to take a walk along with Yamanaka Castle, which is related to Mr. Matsudaira. There is a parking lot for about 4 cars next to the entrance to the shrine.

Okumiya left a strong impression on me. I couldn't help but feel the tremendous mysterious power. By the way, do you know the "Hatoga Cave" of Yamanaka Hachimangu? If that place at that time, maybe the history has changed a lot. Yamanaka Hachimangu is a shrine that is said to have been revived by Ieyasu's father, Hirotada, and prayed for victory when Ieyasu's first team. The Battle of Azukizaka in 1563. That's right, it is an event that is handed down as one of the three major crises of Ieyasu alongside the battle of Mikatagahara and the god Ieyasu crossing. Actually, there is a cave called "Hatogakutsu" on this site, and it is said that Ieyasu Tokugawa was defeated and escaped from his life after losing the battle of Ikko-ikki. When the pursuit tried to find it, two white doves flew out of the cave, so the pursuit passed by saying, "There is no pigeon where there are people," and Ieyasu is said to have survived the difficulty. It's a cave. After that, this cave was called "Hatogakutsu", and the mountain of Hachimangu was called "Omikakushi no Yama". In addition, there is a Shinto ritual to pray for a good harvest that has continued since the Muromachi period. Held every year on New Year 3rd, it is held as a Mita planting ritual called "Dendengassari" and is designated as an intangible folk cultural property of the city.

It is a shrine that sits a little further back from Okazaki National Route 1. The large camphor tree in the precincts and the magnificent shrine built in the quiet mountains are very impressive shrines. It was founded in the 14th year of Shucho (699), and it is said that a person named Mitsushige Yamanaka in this area built the company at the behest of Usa Hachiman. After the Middle Ages, the shrine has a deep connection with the Tokugawa family (Matsudaira family). It is said that Ieyasu Tokugawa's father, Hirotada Matsudaira, rebuilt the shrine, and Ieyasu also prayed for the victory of the first team, and the stone lanterns inside the shrine are engraved with the Aoi crest. It is also said that Ieyasu hid himself in the cave of this shrine during the Battle of Azukizaka Mikawa, which was triggered by the collection of annual tribute rice from a local temple, and when the pursuit approached the cave. , Two pigeons jumped out of the cave. There is a legend that the pursuit passed through the cave and Ieyasu escaped from the difficulty because there could be no people in the cave where the pigeons are, and the existing cave is called "Pigeon is a cave".

It seems to be unmanned from usual, but it is quite a wonderful Hachiman shrine with a historical background and a spectacular camphor tree. I didn't go to Okumiya, but when I counted the stairs on the way back, there were more than 100 steps.

I was born, raised, and lived in Yawata, so nowadays I have a strong desire to stick to Yawata-sama. This Yawata-sama also has a name in history. It is said that when Ieyasu God was just calling himself Tokugawa, he escaped from the difficulties in the cave next to the precincts during the Ikko-ikki. On a cloudy afternoon, I honestly thought that no one was there, but there was a man. The second largest comb tree in Okazaki City will welcome you next to Otorii. The Yamanaka Castle Ruins is also nearby, making it ideal for hiking trails. The precincts have been swept away and I am grateful for the pleasant worship.
