★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 町田に鎮座する母智丘神社様が兼務する神社。乞田八幡神社様共に無人社の様です。御朱印は管理社にて拝受しました。多摩丘陵が開発される以前の佇まいを残した神社様でした。

お祭りの時は、駐車場に車が停められて助かった。

アップダウンの激しい地形を歩くと、山神社に辿り着きます。
無人の神社ですが、コースの緑が気持ちよく、あまり駅から離れてもいないので、あまり寂しい印象は受けません。
社殿や境内もしっかり整備されています。
なお、訪問の注意ですが、私のように日頃運動不足の方は覚悟しておいた方が良いです。
体力に自信がない場合は、駐車スペースもあるので自動車を使うのも良いでしょう。
一応、永山駅からバスは出ているようなのですが、1時間に1本程度で、往復ともにかなり待つことになりそうです。

It's an unmanned shrine, but the greenery of the course is pleasant and it's not too far from the station, so I don't get the impression that it's lonely.

As for the caution of visiting, it is better to be prepared for people like me who lack exercise on a daily basis.
If you are not confident in your physical fitness, it is a good idea to use a car as there is a parking space.
It seems that there is a bus from Nagayama station, but it's about one per hour, so it seems that you will have to wait a long time for both round trips.
