ま	まつまさ on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2022.02.23追記 2022.05.15で閉店してしまうそうです。 ——————————- 要町駅近くですが、路地にあるわかりにくい場所でした。湯船が中央にある関東ではあまり見ない造りでした。スチームサウナが無料で、ふだんサウナにははいらないですが試しに入ってみましたが少し温度が低めなのでしょうか、それほど辛さはありませんでした。ボディソープ、リンスインシャンプーはシャワーブースに２セット、洗い場奥に１セット備え付けてあります。中央の湯船真ん中には天使がいてお湯がチョロチョロ。二つある浴槽の一つはなかなかの熱さで、この寒い時期には温まりますね。 2022.02.23 postscript It seems that the store will close at 2022.05.15. ——————————- It was near Kanamecho station, but it was a confusing place in an alley. Two sets of body soap and rinse-in shampoo are provided in the shower booth and one set in the back of the washing area. There is an angel in the middle of the bathtub in the center, and the hot water is chorochoro. One of the two bathtubs is quite hot, and it warms up in this cold season.
W	W T on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 板の間、薄めの隙間が開いてるガラス戸、小さな池風の庭のような。。典型的な銭湯だね。こういうのずっと残って欲しいけどなぁ。老朽化が心配。スチームサウナが無料。水風呂ないけど、激アツ湯舟がありました。ありゃー温泉卵できるな。 A glass door with a thin gap between the boards, like a small pond-style garden. .. It's a typical public bath. I want this kind of thing to remain forever. I'm worried about aging. Free steam sauna. There was no water bath, but there was a hot bath. You can make hot spring eggs.

There are english instructions outside that are cute and helpful for foreigners but there will be less hand-holding here than ones in central tokyo. My first onsen was YAKUZA so i made a big mistake. This one is better

As of this year, official government data suggests there are less than 600 sento remaining in Tokyo. A third of which are traditionally decorated with such “penki e.”
A	Alfred Guballa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An old, traditional sento in the middle of a residential neighborhood, but just one stop away from Ikebukuro, one of the major areas in Tokyo for business, shopping and leisure. The sento itself is unique, with a bandai watchseat that looks over the whole sento, and a large bath in the middle of the room. Most baths in Tokyo/Kantō have their baths towards the back. The bath is round/squash shaped and divided into two - the smaller part being slightly less hot than the larger main part. You can see a large painted mural of Mt. Fuji on the back wall as you soak in the bath. There’s also a steam sauna which is free of charge! I recommend this place if you want a feel of local Japanese bathing culture. Don’t forget to bring a towel and soap, or rent/buy one when you enter!
