人気無く御朱印はいただけないようです。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 京都嵯峨の大覚寺の末寺であった金剛院は明治初めに廃寺となり、華麗な聖天堂のみが残されて八柱神社の本殿・拝殿に利用されています。現在の建物は天明5年(1785)の建立で、拝殿は解体調査を元に昭和62年(1987)に全面的に改築復原されました。なかでも本殿は全体が極彩色に彩られ、精緻な彫刻類が建物の外周を埋め尽くす豪華さは圧巻です。

駐車場がなく、入り口が石段になっています。

筑波山も絶景です。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 以前は京都嵯峨の大覚寺の末寺、金剛院の聖天堂で寛平2年(890)創建、明治の廃仏毀釈の時に聖天堂を残し、牛頭天皇社を遷座し、その後塙世村内7社を合祀し、現在の社名になりました。
御祭神は素戔鳴命、木花咲耶姫命、倉稲魂命、軻遇突知命、大山咋命、巌島姫命、誉田別命、別雷命。
本殿の華麗で見事な彫刻は下野国（栃木県）富田住の彫物師、磯部義兵衛英信の作と伝わります。
境内には真壁町指定天然記念物の幹周り８．２ｍ、樹高１４ｍ、推定樹齢５００年の大きくどっしりとしたケヤキの木があります。
境内は広く明るく掃除等を管理が行き届いており氏子や近隣の方々の信仰の厚さが伺えます。
駐車場は見当たらず階段を上がり鳥居を潜ると境内です。
