B	Brian White on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Anja prepared a wonderful holiday menu for the time that we visited Wunderbar ("Wonderful") in mid-December 2021. Everything was so good, it's hard to pick a favorite. The family particularly enjoyed the red cabbage soup--a set of perfectly complementary herbs and ingredients. From there, the meatless-meat main, the potato and the sauce were all wonderful. Eyebrows were raised--this couldn't be vegan! But the whole thing was vegan, punctuated by a non-alcoholic...mulled wine? And wonderful cookies. I forgot to ask, I was too busy enjoying everything. In chatting with Anja, she varies the menu as evidenced by Wunderbar's Instagram feed. We regrettably were only in Shimane for a short time. Anyone visiting Izumo area should take the effort to visit Wunderbar. We rented a car and enjoyed some other local temples, and would recommend the same. A wonderful experience!

The service is really nice and the food delicious. I loved the mix between Japanese traditional visual and typical European food.
