R	Ralf Blaich on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went last week with my boys for a short camping trip to the Pacific Coast and stood one night at Wild Kids Auto Camping Ground in Misakichoizumi/Chiba which is approximately two hours away from Tokyo. The facilities are little aged, but still in good shape. You have basically two choices to put up your tent/park your camper: Lake side or Sea side. I would recommend to book in advance - we were surprised how many people go camping during Christmas/New Year. There is a Onsen as well which is open in the evening hours. I think they offer everything a camper needs in case you are running out of fire wood, gas, etc. You'll get it at the reception. Hot showers are not charged extra and dogs are welcome on the camping ground. For surfers: location is little more than walking distance away from Taito-Beach (Longboard) and Shonan (only short boards are allowed here - local rule...don't ask why...). We enjoyed a lot and will definitely come back again!
