K	Kotaro Hara on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ランチをいただきました。店内の空間がステキで、気分良く過ごすことができました。高い天井、丁寧に並べられた雑貨、薪ストーブの温もりと木が爆ぜる音…。選べる日替りのランチの他、軽食や喫茶メニューもあります。この日頂いたのは、聖護院カブのスープ、久美浜産牡蠣フライ、コールスローポテトサラダ、食後のカフェラテ。身も心も温まるような優しい味のスープ、口触り優しく野菜のしっかり味のサラダ、サックリと海の味わいが口に広がる牡蠣フライ、柔らかい味わいと共に鼻から抜けるコーヒーの香り…。この日は雪が多く降り、外の景観も真っ白な雪景色。雪が周囲の音も吸い込み静かな時間は、何か北欧の雪国にふと足を踏み入れたような気持ちになりました。 I had lunch. J	Jesse Efron on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Waterside Cottage Herson is also a restaurant, open for lunch and dinner. The food was excellent and my meal used local oysters. There was also a crab paella for two people, but the prep. time is around 50 minutes for that meal so I didn't order it. The fried oysters came with a potato salad that was handmade along with fresh vegetables and some fruit diced in, and a shredded cabbage salad. The meals come with a soup to start (it was a cauliflower pottage) as well as fresh-baked bread, followed by coffee or tea at the end, and I ordered a lemon cake topped with fresh lemon curd to go with my tea. It was a fantastic meal, and located right on the canal that runs out to Kumihama Bay. I also liked the open floor-plan of the restaurant and wood burning stove. Current prices are 1650 yen for one person for lunch and a drink. The 2 person paella would have been 3850 yen. The cake was 550 yen (february 2020).
