★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 私の自宅近くにある地元藤田町の17世紀の義民の小泉弥次右衛門の霊廟記念公園です。当時藤田村と言われたこの地域は排水の悪い湿地帯で実りを迎えた稲や野菜の水腐れに悩まされ隣り村と争いが絶えず、ここを支配する幕府の代官の排水許可もなかなか下りなかった。そこで弥次右衛門は責を負う覚悟で村を守るため無許可で排水溝を通してしまう、幕府の処断は厳しくこの排水溝の側のこの地で処刑されてしまう。以後弥次右衛門は身を捨てて地域を守った義民と慕われ霊廟が祀られ守られてきました。
私の家族は淡路島からの転入者ですが、弥次右衛門の話は学校などで感動的に伝えられています。小学校時代の集団登校の集合場所でいけない事ですがこの霊廟の石塔によじ登ったりして遊んだ思い出があります。安全な子供の遊び場としても慕われ、門前に大きな公園が拡張されています。
