和爾坐赤坂比古神社（わににます あかさかひこじんじゃ）
JRまほろば線「櫟本」駅より徒歩20分
それとは解らない、なだらかな（平らな？）古墳上に鎮座おはします。少し複雑な町並みですが櫟本高塚公園の南方面からも訪れることは可能です。周辺の建物にも特にインパクトの強いものはなく、和爾町天奈会館やとみの森広場、赤い「火の見櫓」のある天理市消防団くらいです。ところが周りは存在感が薄いゆえに、余計に「西向きの神域」が際立って画になるのです。秋の午後は日差したっぷりで、社殿も明るく感じました。
隣の善福寺とその前にある「和爾坂下伝承地道」の道標も景色を際立たせるのに一役買っているような気がします。
ここから南に分け入って、鬼子母神の社から柿本神社へ向かいます。

We sit on a gentle (flat?) Tumulus that we don't understand. It is a little complicated town, but it is possible to visit from the south side of Ichimoto Takatsuka Park. The surrounding buildings do not have any particular impact, such as the Wanamachi Tenna Kaikan, Tominomori Square, and the Tenri Fire Brigade with a red “Hinomi Tower”. However, because of the low presence around, the "westward sanctuary" becomes even more striking. The autumn afternoon was full of sunshine and the shrine felt bright.
I feel that the signpost of the neighboring Zenpuku-ji Temple and "Waji Sakashita Tradition Road" in front of it also play a role in making the scenery stand out.
From here, head south to Kikomojin Shrine to Kakimoto Shrine.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 集落の道が狭いので車で行くことはお勧めできません。駐車場もありません。この一帯は和爾氏の本拠地で神社や地蔵尊、古墳や寺院がたくさんあります。北にある天神社の鳥居前の駐車場に車を停めて歩いてまわる方が絶対に良い見学ができます。私は車を集落に突っ込んでは行き詰まり、バックしたり対向車に御迷惑をおかけしたりして反省しています。ちなみに天神社の駐車料金は24時間で100円です。1か月なら2000円です。
It is not recommended to drive because the roads in the village are narrow. There is no parking lot. This area is the home of Mr. Waj, and there are many shrines, Jizo statues, burial mounds and temples. It is definitely better to park your car in the parking lot in front of the torii gate of the Tenjin shrine in the north and walk around. I regret that when I thrust my car into the village, I got stuck and backed up or caused trouble to the oncoming car. By the way, the parking fee for Tenjinsha is 100 yen for 24 hours. It costs 2000 yen for one month.
