★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hidden gem of a place hiding in an alley. One of the most incredible dining experiences I’ve ever had and the best meat I’ve EVER tasted. Japan has not disappointed on the food front.
My cousin brought my husband and I here for dinner, had reservations which was essential because the place is tiny and has limited seating. We were seated right away and someone even took our coats.
Started with a salad and sliced avocado with seaweed salt and sesame oil - delicious.
Next a parade of some of the finest beef in Japan that we were able to cook ourselves over hot coals with excellent seasoning and spices. Literally melt in your mouth. I would list the cuts of meat but my cousin ordered in Japanese.
To finish off the meal, delightful ginger soup and puréed vegetable shot.
The best part about the whole experience was the incredible service and ambiance - notorious B.I.G. & Nas, golf on the big screen and incredibly attentive and thoughtful staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was sightseeing with our group in Shibuya and wanted to treat my guests Yakiniku within the same area. So I made a reservation via Hot Pepper for this restaurant based on reviews. We had the A5 Wagyu 180g classic course meal with 11 dishes (drinks excluded). Plenty to eat and the meat quality was superb. Ventilation system was also fairly decent, so our clothes didn’t smell like yakiniku afterward. The owner and one of the staff are fluent in English, which is very helpful especially if you don’t speak Japanese and wanted to know which part of the cow you are eating.
Minor cons:
Small restaurant – so it might not be as comfy if you are large in size. It is also a little far out from the station, which can be both good and bad. I do have to agree with some of the other comments that we also encountered a younger staff that was not as attentive; and it was a bit scary watching her struggling to grill our meat (they were overlapping), I was relieved that the other staff took over for the other meat; also, there was a table charge of ¥500 / person, which I wasn’t aware of, but is probably common in Tokyo.
Anyway, the owner was super cool and let us move up our reservation an hour early since we finished sightseeing quicker than expected. He was a huge factor to this positive experience. Highly recommended especially for foreign visitors. Great restaurant to experience authentic yakiniku.
