It's pretty hot in summer, is it a walking path? trekking? People who do it seem to be quite crowded in autumn, but the scenery seems to be wonderful

A short walk from the parking lot, you can see the wonderful cliffs. I was blessed with the weather and was impressed.

Mushrooms that seem to be dangerous are growing ? You can reach it by walking on a fluffy road for about 10 minutes from the parking lot. I was a little scared because it overlooks a very high cliff. However, you can rest assured that the fences are stretched around.

It was a nice day so the scenery was very beautiful. From the observatory, you can hear the sound of the waves and the birds singing. The horizon that draws a gentle arc with the cliffs appearing to fold beautifully. You can enjoy the beautiful colors of the sea ♪ On this day, I headed for one person on a random basis, so it's okay to arrive at the parking lot, but it seems that I'm walking for 5 to 10 minutes, and I walked with a little chatter when I saw the [Beware of bears] at the entrance. To be on the safe side, we recommend that you prepare bear bells, sneakers that are easy to walk in, and trekking juice. Bare feet are not recommended for sandals as dead leaves will stick together. I don't walk for a long time, but I think it's a good idea to bring a drink on a hot day. It would be nice to have an insect repellent in the summer. The road to the observatory is not paved with concrete, but it is neatly arranged so that even wheelchair users can go there. I want to come with proper equipment this time and go down to the bottom of the cliff ✨

I visited on March 4th. The weather was fine and I felt that the distance from the parking lot to the observatory was a little too long, but the spectacular view made it irrelevant. It is a cliff with an altitude difference of 140m. The weather was nice and the sky was sunny, so the color of the sea was especially beautiful and I was satisfied. The geology around here is rocks originating from sediments on the seafloor, and it is a medieval "accretionary prism" in which rocks that were ejected without sneaking in at the plate boundary accumulated in a jumbled wrinkle, but every time they rise, they become waves. It is said that it was shaved and became a cliff like a wall. I think the power of the waves is amazing. There was a sign for the sea breeze trail in the parking lot (elevation 150m), so I thought there should be a route down this cliff, so I found the trail entrance next to the toilet in the parking lot, so I followed it. It goes down a small stream in the slope where Japanese red pine and oak grow naturally, which will be a channel during heavy rain. Eventually, the sea, the dry river, and the pebble riverbank came into view. If you check it on the map, it's that Makizawa. After that, I went down for a while and finally went to Koishihama. It is laid with pebbles with a large specific density of an ellipsoid that has been considerably worn. I thought there were a lot of chert and marine mudstone, but I'm not sure. The grain size is small at the beach, but it is small gravel. On the GSI Map, there is a sidewalk that follows the beach to the north, and there is a tunnel in the rock body of the quay. There was a tunnel, but the front of the entrance was washed by the waves. I sewed in between the waves, but the floor was destroyed. When I got over it and went through the first tunnel, I saw another tunnel entrance on my way. Here too, there is evidence that the pebbles in front of the entrance were washed by the waves. Even on the Moshi coast, the sidewalk on the coast was washed by the waves, so it is possible that it sank after 3.11. I went in. I could see the entrance of the tunnel again, but I didn't confirm the tide, so I decided to take a picture and turn back because I thought there was a risk of being swayed by the waves if the tide was full. If you come next time, check the tide and explore with plenty of time. As for the river, Makizawa (Makizawa), who created that deep canyon, is poor at the mouth of the river and probably underground in the gravel layer, and there is no channel to the sea. The sea breeze trail seems to be hit by a road that goes up this river. The climb on the way back (elevation difference 150m) was quite difficult. When I think of the tsunami, I noticed that round pebbles on the coast were scattered on the road up to an altitude of nearly 50m. The tsunami has lifted this pebble so far. I climbed with a breath of breath, and it turned out that the tsunami did not come so far because there were only stones from the upstream that were cornered on the road. And I was relieved.

Big car park with decent facilities, even has free wifi which is a godsend. The path is strange at first as it's very cushioned but very comfortable and it means you make no sound going along. Nature left unaware you're there so you can get pretty close to it and get those pictures

This place is often overlooked in favor of the more famous Kitayamazaki, but if you take the trail down 20 minutes to the coast you're in for a real treat with mysterious tunnels and crashing waves at your feet.
