小	小川徹 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 上総牛久駅の1つ手前の駅で内陸部らしい田園地帯の風情を感じさせる駅です。他の駅にも見られる典型的な"小湊駅舎"でこちらも国登録有形文化財に指定されています。 2面2線のプラットホームを持ち、列車交差が出来る様になっています。またかつて使われていた留置線が残っていて近くには機材倉庫があり、いかにもローカル線の良い雰囲気を醸し出しています。駅舎のロータリーはそこそこの大きさですが、小湊バスは乗り入れしていません。駅舎から少し離れた所に馬立タクシーの営業所があり、路線バスに代わる移動手段は何とか確保されている駅です。 It is a station just before Kazusa Ushiku Station, where you can feel the atmosphere of the countryside like an inland area.
