昔は生活苦が原因でしたが、今は親による幼い子供への虐待が多いそうです。
「お父さんに熱湯を掛けられた」
そう話してくれた子は、また
「今日はお父さんが来るんだ」と嬉しそうに話していた。
私も子供の頃、母親から毎日叩かれた。
仕事から戻った母は、外での柔らかい顔から鬼の顔に一変した。家の掃除・水汲み・ご飯炊き、どれかひとつでも出来ていないと、母は私を殴った。
「しつけ」という言葉と一緒に。
それでも私は毎日母の帰りを持っていた。
今日こそ優しい母が帰ってくると。
