東京藝術大学内の門守衛所の裏手にある「赤レンガ一号館」が都内で一番古い。
この建物は明治13年の建物で現在の国立博物館がこの場所にあった時に耐火書籍庫として建てられたもの。
昨年夏に守衛さんに許可を得て、外観を観察したところまだまだ現役で職員の方が事務所として使用しているようでした。
煉瓦建築は歳を経るごとに味がでてくるようでまるで良質な骨董品のようです。（パソコン画）
What is the oldest brick building in Tokyo?
The "Akarenga No. 1 Building" behind the gate guard station in Tokyo University of the Arts is the oldest in Tokyo.
This building was built in the 13th year of the Meiji era and was built as a fireproof bookstore when the current National Museum was in this place.
When I got permission from the guard last summer and observed the appearance, it seemed that the staff were still active and using it as an office.
Brick architecture seems to taste like a good antique as it gets older. (PC image)
