上田警察署依田窪庁舎、ここは行ったことがある人は多いと思います。幹部の警察官をよく観察してみて下さい。あのオジサンたち警察官の自覚がないなと思われるほどボケーっとしているか、無駄話ばかりしてます。ここは運転免許の更新などもできますので、人の出入りは多いです。つまり、市民から見られることが多い職場なのです。にもかかわらず、管理職のあのだらけぶりです。部下の方々は、やる気なくなりますね。いなかの警察はまったくもって緊張感がない。

一般的な交番と異なり、運転免許証の更新など各種申請も行える規模の相当大きな交番です。元々は、2010年まで丸子警察署であった庁舎を県警の組織改変で警部交番とし、そのまま現在に至ります。通常の交番と違い人員が多く、刑事部門も配置されていて交番内にはいつも人員がいます。自動車警ら隊の組織も入っているため、パトロールカーが何台もあり、管内の巡回など頻繁にしているのを目にするので、警察署の頃よりパトカーを見る機会が多くなったような気もして、交番と名前は変わりましたが、まだ安心感はありますね。
