★ ★ ★ ★ ★ VPN access is an issue, you want private secure connections in coffee shops. I use express VPN, I don't have issues accept at Tully's coffee. I suspect they block VPNs, and monitor your traffic. I disabled my wifi and was able to use my VPN again through the phone network. I also tried connecting to a local VPN server in Japan with express VPN with no luck. If it's just coffee you want there is no problem, the shop is fine but if you use mobile or computer devices I would check your VPN to ensure its actually connecting.
