This place is a hidden gem. Excellent quality Tonakatsu. Thick slices and great taste. You will most likely have to queue to eat here. Inside it’s a counter setting, people seem to finish relatively quickly however expect a wait of around 20-30 minutes.

Found the place via googling closest to tonkatsu place, it has the highest rating and definitely deserved it. It was a little small narrow restaurant that only fit 8 people. Staff member would come out and take our order on the street the we'd proceed to wait for a seat to become available. The tonkatsu was thick and juicy, and flavourful, I'm surprised I was able to finish. The portions were very generous.

I got there 30 minutes before the opening time. There was already a long line. It’s a tiny restaurant with counter seatings only. They recommend to eat their Tonkatsu with salt instead of typical Tonkatsu sauce. As you can see in a picture, they have 4 different types of salt. My favorite was Inca salt. Their Tonkatsu was crispy and juicy and miso soup (tonjiru 豚汁) was very tasty as well. I enjoyed it fully! When I stepped out, there was a tv crew. I guess this restaurant is really a famous one.

Solid Tonkatsu with great value. Only downside is probably just wait time. Came 30 mins before they close with ~12 people waiting in line ahead of us. They still serve us 9.20. Pork cutlet was awesome with that layer of fat being star of the show.

If I could I would give this place 2 1/2 stars. We were three people and waited about 1 hour to get in. There is a "hostess" that comes out now and then to take your order. There are about 8 choices, I got filet mignon, one friend got pork shoulder and my other friend got pork belly. I tried all of the 3 dishes and none was mind blowing. I expected a certain umami that was never realized. The breaded pork comes with shredded cabbage, a bowl of miso "pork" soup, rice, some pickles and a glass of tea. There isn't much interaction in between the two cooks and the hostess who helps washing dishes etc, etc. She is not graceful by any measure. The pork shoulder was raw at the center and somewhat tough. The filet mignon was tender but missing "porkiness" if you get what I mean... For sure I wouldn't go back.

Amazing tonkatsu, I had the shoulder part and it was very delicate and full of flavour. I think one of the best I’ve ever had! They serve it with selection of different types of salt which further enhances the taste. The restaurant is quite small (10 seats only) and the queue outside can be long, so get there early to avoid long wait.

Even in weekday night, still needs to wait in line. Better to come earlier because there is only 10 seats. There is no English menu, so I randomly ordered a ¥1500 set, the pork chop has the fat inside, which makes the pork more juicy, the pork you can taste the freshness. With the crisp cover it is just amazing! A must try dish in Japan.
