★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 『小さいのが投げ岩、大きいのが鬼蹴り岩』と書いている方がいらっしゃいますが、それは間違いです。
大小ふたつの岩は共に大国主命が投げて二つに割れた『投げ岩』で、鬼が投げた『鬼蹴り岩』は海岸近くの北陸自動車道の直下にあります。
高速道路の直下にある『鬼蹴り岩』は近くの道の駅『親不知ピアパーク』からは見ることができず、国道8号線の歩道を近くまで歩いて行けば見ることが可能です。

鬼よりはるか沖に投げた大国主命の岩は、パックリと真っ二つに割れこのような形になったそうな。
力比べで負けた鬼が悔しがり蹴って沈めた
のが隣の鬼蹴り岩だそうな。
めでたしめでたし。
ということだそうな。
う～む、迷信だの伝説だのに全く興味がない吾人であるが、景色は素晴らしいとだけは言っておきたい。
