This is a surprising place to find, given the location, which is the south end of a island of recovered land. The bulk of the island is given over to shipping containers. The park itself is loud, but it's still possible to see many birds on the tidal mud flats, as well as mudskippers, crabs, and lizards. Be wary of the Google direction, which direct you to an inconvenient place, as well as of the bus stop map handed out at the information center, which is wildly inaccurate.

An oasis for birds and birders in southwest Tokyo, the park has a small fee (JY300 for adults), but it offers an excellent birding experience worth far more. Despite being surrounded by freight terminals and warehouses, the grounds are lush, well-maintained, and with a half dozen high quality blinds (many of which have good spotting scopes available for use) and a beautiful Nature Center that overlooks the largest tidal pond and allows comfortable birding no matter the weather. It is easily accessed by public transport. Just keep in mind that its hours are 9-5, and you can't go in after 4:30. They even give you a checklist of the most common birds, and most blinds have ID guides on the wall. A great choice for a visiting birder who only has a few hours to spare.

A very nice atmosphere, hard to think of when you see all the truck-packed-roads all around the park. You don't hear much of it from where you enter the park. Unfortunately there is an about 300Yen(?) fee you have to pay, ANYTIME you go there. No all-year-passes available. Apart from that nothing to complain, on almost all stations are proper nikon minoculars attached, so you can see the birds up close. For photographers it gives great opportunities to get wildlife shots without having to leave the city.

I stayed in a hotel near the Haneda Airport, yet it's still not easy to access the park using public transportation. The place is worth a visit if you love nature.

Stumbled on this place by accident but so glad we did! It’s a rare slice of nature in the middle of Tokyo. We were a bit skeptical of how many birds we would see, but were pleasantly surprised but the variety and quantity of species we could see, especially with the available telescopes. A very nice place to spend an afternoon.

Relaxing park to enjoy birdwatching. I spent about 2-3 hours. Entrance fee is 300¥ and worth it.

Always depends on the season and the day for what birds you’ll find but always a good day out and easy to relax. Unfortunately public transport to/from is lacking but the car parking is free. Staff are always super happy and helpful. Talk with them about what you’ll find that day - they usually have lots of good tips to share. Take binoculars if you have them, and at least a 300mm lens if you’re planning on any photography.

The place is nice and you can take a fresh breath out of busy Tokyo city.. But unfortunately I didn't see many birds.. I t is true that there are lots of birds but they are a bit far from the visitors accessible area.. So you need a pro cam to take photos or binoculars to see them properly.. The time I was visiting, one viewing spot was closed due to some repair. Haneda airport is near, so u can always see airplanes in the sky taking circles.. Lovely place.
