Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum - Japanese Garden - Minato City

As of December 2, the autumn leaves are in full bloom. You can enjoy the luxurious garden that Tokyo has generously invested for only 200 yen. However, at present, you can only see the garden, not the building that is the museum. There is a parking lot, but it costs 1500 yen regardless of the time. Bicycles can be parked free of charge.

Advance reservation is required for the garden admission ticket. After strolling around the "Natural Education Park" next door, I waited for the opening at 10 o'clock and presented the QR barcode on my smartphone to enter the park. More than 50 people were waiting for the park to open, but all but me (mostly female) were waiting for the museum's exhibition, the final day of the Royal Botanic Gardens "Cue Garden" on November 28th. The purpose was to see all of them. I was the only one who passed through the entrance to the garden, and I lonely took a walk in the Japanese garden. When you enter the garden, you will see a mysterious white figurine on the far left. It is a work called "Wind" produced by sculptor Kan Yasuda, and when you look through an elliptical hole, the same scenery looks a little different due to the frame effect. The Japanese garden has an artificial hill (a garden, etc., built by heaping stones or earth and sand to make it look like a mountain) and a pond, creating a rugged landscape. It seems that there are two water sources that pour into the pond, but one is the pumping of groundwater, which causes the water to flow out vigorously and flow into the pond as a mountain stream with a small waterfall between the stonework. It was a splendid Japanese garden with a Japanese atmosphere with a tea room in harmony with maples. It seems that it was a little early during the autumn leaves season, but I was able to enjoy the small but very nice Japanese garden and autumn leaves. After this, I went for a walk in the Japanese garden of "Happoen".
