★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2019年の台風19号の被害のため、訪れたときは外周園路のみの公開となっていましたが、それでも１時間は歩きます。国の天然記念物「青葉山」と指定されているようで、園内は自然そのままで100万都市仙台の中心部に隣接しいるとはとても思えない場所でした。自然散策にお薦めです。
 Due to the damage of Typhoon No.19 in 2019, when it visited, it was only open to the outer garden path, but it still walks for an hour. It seems that it is designated as a national natural monument “Aobayama”, and the garden was a natural place and it was very unlikely to be adjacent to the center of Sendai city. Recommended for nature walks.

そんな、カワイイお花を観るお散歩コースでは、なかったです〰❗

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 青葉山植物園(東北大学植物園)の正門入口であり、ミニ自然科学館を兼ねる建物です。
南西の青葉山植物園ゲートから入ると鬱蒼とした道で虫除けスプレーがほしいところなので、こちらから入ったほうが虫的に楽な散策になります。
It is the main entrance to the Aobayama Botanical Garden (Tohoku University Botanical Garden) and is a building that doubles as a mini natural science museum.
If you enter from the Aobayama Botanical Garden Gate in the southwest, you will want an insect repellent on a dense road, so entering from here will make your walk easier.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 本館内の展示物は一般人向になっていて分かりやすいです。この周辺の動植物が主な展示物だそうですが、こうやって展示されていると普段気にも留めない何気ないものでも科学的価値があるんだって思い知らされます。
ここから表に出ると広い天然植物園になっていていい散歩コースでした。入場料230円はリーズナブルだと思います。
The exhibits in the main building are easy for people to understand. The surrounding plants and animals seem to be the main exhibits, but when they are displayed in this way, they are reminded of the scientific value of casual things that are not usually noticed.
From here, it was a nice walk course to become a large natural botanical garden. I think the admission fee of 230 yen is reasonable.

1周1時間ほどですが、色々ルートがあり 急坂なとこもありました。
危険動物もいるとありましたが、わたしが散策した時は動物には出会えませんでした。
(鷹やフクロウ、キツネにタヌキなどもいるそうです)
全部のルート回ると2時間はかかるかな？
山の中でも季節ごとに花がみられるようです。
すぐ花見たい人は入口すぐのロックガーデンに行くと良いと思います。
(もみじ園もあります)
所々に動物に知らせる為の鐘がありました。
トイレも3箇所あるので、心配ないです。
17時閉園で16時まで入園可なのですが、遅くに行った為さらっとしか回れなかったので今度は早めに行ってゆっくりぐるぐるしたいです。

Covering approximately 490,000 square metres, Aobayama is a pristine primeval forest. Due to its preservation for 400 years it is now home to flora and fauna of priceless academic value. In 1972, the garden was appointed as a natural monument, a first for a national university botanical garden. One of only three national university botanical gardens in Japan, the site of the botanical gardens is surrounded by beautiful fir forests native to the region's hilly terrain.
