Times Car Rental Haneda - Ota City

Awesome service. There was an american staff, so it was very easy to communicate. Pick up was convenient. Very flexible, i had to push my rental time back for a few hours and they didnt have any problems at all.

Just dropped our car at 8.30PM right on 31st Dec, greeted by a lady who was unfriendly and did not even bother to check our record correctly. We were being asked to pay 26.000¥ for additional ETC card, to which we have had paid the unlimited card for certain area for 16.000¥. And; she just told us pay this and I was shock and questioned this matter. She then calculated and said Ok, outside from the unlimited you had to pay 15.000¥ more. We had pay 5000¥more due to the advice of the rental team upon collecting the car to take the unlimited car despite our information on the area we will be visiting, and now if we were not careful they will charge 11.000¥more. NEVER use this rental company!!!! Ignorance and tried to overcharged the customer!

If I could give 0 i would have, very lousy service. Staff cannot speak english and had to go on another person on the phone to communicate with us. They also gave us a very small car which could not fit all of us. We had to pay extra and had to negotiate with them and we wasted more than 2 hours there. I sincerely don't recommend this car rental to anyone

You need to take shuttle to and from Haneda Airport if you rent a car from Times. A less than 15 minutes journey

I hv rented from Times few times in other locations like Osaka n Fukuoka and service was good. But this time returning the car at this particular Haneda airport shop was very disappointing. We booked the car online to be returned at 9pm as this was the latest closing time for this shop. We had the car returned few minutes before 9pm and was expecting to get a shuttle to the Haneda airport but was told that there was no shuttle service after 8:40pm. It’s only common sense that you would offer shuttle service to the airport when customers return the rental at the latest time you accept the return. There was another group of customers also in dismay when they found out no shuttle service was offered. This guy I believe is the shop manager was very rude about the situation too. When we asked the lady who handled our return how else we could get to the airport she told us the only way is to take a taxi which would cost around ¥5,000 for the 3km drive to the airport and there was 6 of us including small children which means we had to take 2 taxis. We then searched on google map to find out there was a train station 5-6 mins walk down the street from the rental shop that would only take 3 stations to get to Haneda airport and cost ¥210 for the ticket. The shop didn’t even bother to tell us there is this option, remember this is supposed to be an airport rental return shop and you think they would at least try to provide transportation options for customers when they failed to provide the shuttle service in the first place. But judging from their “I dun give a fxxk to our customers” attitude, perhaps this is their way of getting joy out of their job.

Great customer service. Spoke English at the counter. Loaded our bags for us. The car we reserved was ready and waiting when we arrived. The gentleman explained how all of the car specialties functioned. FYI, they are EXTREMELY exact on the amount of fuel in the vehicle when you return it. If you filled it up 30km away, they will subtract 30km from the full tank charge and ask you to pay for 30km.

The actual rental center is in a bit of an inconvenient location, which is fine if you're taking the airport shuttle bus, but otherwise is a bit of a pain to get to. That said the service is good and fast and I've been in and out in under 10mins every time. Note: Google Maps will say to make a U-turn on the main road when bringing the car back (if coming from the west)...don't. Go right at the main junction, then take the first right two more times to come out on the "Times Car" side of that main road. Much safer and less likely to get you in trouble ?
