墳丘長一辺約48ｍ、築造時期は５世紀後半と推定。
周壕、外堤があり馬見古墳群の中でも大型方墳として希少価値は高いとされている。
この古墳から出土したと伝えられる長持式石棺の底石（竜山石製）が、西方にある下水の吐水口に転用されていたが、今は牧野古墳公園に移設されている。

The long hill is approximately 48m long, and the construction time is estimated to be the late 5th century.
There is an outer wall in Zhouzhuang, and it is considered to be of high value as a large-sized square in the Bammy Tomb Group.
It is said that a long-carriage-type soba basestone (made by Ryuzan stone), which is said to have been excavated from this burial mound, has been diverted to a sewage outlet in the west, but is now relocated to Makino Kotokoen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5世紀後半に築造された南北約45メートル、東西約41メートルの周濠を備えていた方墳のようです。円筒埴輪、猪型埴輪、鎧形埴輪が出土し、こちらの古墳から出土したと伝えられる長持式石棺の底石は牧野古墳公園の東側（トイレの北側）に移設展示されています（案内板ありです）。一本松古墳東側から公園をでたすぐ北側に古墳はあり、畦道から古墳近くまでアプローチ出来ます。夏場の訪問でしたので、草木に覆われていましたが、古墳南側からなら墳丘に入れるかも…ま、石棺が移設（こちらの古墳の石棺底石（伝））されているぐらいなので、石室拝見は期待できないし、私有地かもやし、立ち入りはやめて、牧野古墳公園に行かれたほうがいいかもです。あくまで（伝！）ですが。誰にも遠慮なく拝見できますから。 追記 （伝！）の石棺底石の写真撮影してきましたのでアップしました。あくまで伝ですから
