★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 北新天満宮は、奈良を代表する観光地である「平城宮跡」の南側すぐの位置にある神社です。
この神社は江戸時代初頭の慶長8年（1603年）に周辺の村の成立に合わせて創建されたとされており、御祭神については天満宮ということで菅原道真がお祀りされています。
境内に詳しい案内板は設置されていませんが、境内地は美しく手入れされています。
この神社の裏は平城宮跡です。

近鉄奈良駅・JR奈良駅西口・新大宮駅から奈良交通バス「学園前駅（南）
※奈良市庁前経由」・「恋の窪町」・「二条大路南五丁目」行き乗車、「二条大路南五丁目」バス停下車、北に徒歩5分（大宮通り沿いバス停から）。
又は、西に徒歩4分（高架下バス停から）近鉄新大宮駅から西に徒歩18分
 Kitashin Tenmangu is a shrine located just south of the Heijo Palace Remains, a tourist destination that represents Nara.
This shrine is said to have been built in the early Edo period in the 8th year of Keicho (1603) when the surrounding villages were established, and Sugawara no Michizane is enshrined as the deity of the ritual, which is called Tenmangu.
There is no detailed information board in the precincts, but the precincts are beautifully maintained.
The back of this shrine is the Heijo Palace site.

From Kintetsu Nara Station / JR Nara Station West Exit / Shin-Omiya Station, Nara Kotsu Bus "Gakuenmae Station (South)"
* Take the bus bound for "Nara City Hall", "Koinokubo Town", "Nijooji Minami 5-chome", get off at "Nijooji Minami 5-chome" bus stop, and walk north for 5 minutes (from the bus stop along Omiya Dori).
Or, a 4-minute walk west (from the underpass bus stop), an 18-minute walk west from Kintetsu Shin-Omiya Station
