★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 砂金氏11代砂金右兵衛実常（常房）公が慶長13年川崎城を築城、元禄15年まで居城とした。これが川崎要害であります。砂金氏没後、伊達氏は最上境の要衝の地として伊達一門を配し、笹谷街道沿いの備えに万全を期しました。街道の中心を流れていた川は埋め立てられましたが、今に見る街並みはその当時のままであり、城(舘)址は、城山公園として桜の名所となり四季を通じ憩いの場となっています。
 Mr. Sunakin, the 11th generation, Mr. Ubei Sunakin, built Kawasaki Castle in 13th year of Keicho and kept it as a residence until 15th year of Genroku. This is Kawasaki's fortress. After the death of Mr. Sunakin, Mr. Date arranged the Date Ichimon as the most important place on the border and made every effort to prepare for the Sasaya Highway. The river that flowed through the center of the highway was reclaimed, but the cityscape that we see today remains the same as it was at that time, and the castle (Tate) ruins have become a famous place for cherry blossoms as Shiroyama Park and a place of relaxation throughout the four seasons.
