★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 写真で見るよりも迫力があります。周りが人工物で囲まれているせいで写真だと小さく見えますが、想像の5倍ぐらい滝壺が深いです。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 多摩川の支流である西川が青梅街道をくぐる地点にある落差18ｍの直獏です。鳩ノ巣橋の真下に位置しており、ちょうど地面の下に埋まっているような状態です。
木古里というカフェの脇の階段を下るとすぐ、左手に見えてくる滝が双竜の滝です。滝の上部中央に岩が突き出ていて、二手に分かれた流れが、滝の途中で合流しています。上に向かって二股に分かれているのが、双竜の名の由来です。
水量にもよりますが、落差もあり、佇まいも美しい良い滝です。滝つぼは岩が深くえぐれたもので、水の流れによって徐々に削り取られていった様子が想像でき、それなりにロマンチックです。
ただし、滝の直上はコンクリート製の橋桁で空が塞がれ、周辺も年季の入った遊歩道で囲まれており、全体の景観は芳しくありません。
直下には打ち捨てられた廃旅館が見え、うらびれた空気が漂います。廃墟の風情をよしとするか否かで、この滝の評価も変動するかと思います。
廃墟群の下にある滝が双竜の滝だと誤解されがちですが、あちらは水神の滝です。

However, the sky is blocked by a concrete bridge girder just above the waterfall, and the surrounding area is surrounded by an old promenade, so the overall landscape is not good.
You can see the abandoned abandoned inn directly below, and you can feel the air flowing around. I think that the evaluation of this waterfall will change depending on whether the ruined atmosphere is good or not.
It is often mistaken for the waterfall below the ruins to be Ssangyong's waterfall, but that is the water god's waterfall.
