★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cool atmosphere in this converted preschool. The bakery produces really nice breads and pizza and it houses the only brewery in Japan to exclusively use wild yeast.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an incredible little bakery situated inside of a converted nursery. They specialise in bread made from fresh natural yeast. The scones are incredible and so is the sourdough bread. I met the owner and they were very kind and friendly.
There is play equipment in the garden for children.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best bread i ate in Japan ! what an amazing place ! We enjoyed going to this preschool used now as a bakery. The project and the success it found is fantastic ! I recommend this place for people who like quality and who wants to spend time slowly eating and drinking local stuff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This creative space repurposes an old elementary school into a working bakery and beer brewery that offers a rich assortment of goodies. What a pleasant surprise in the middle of Chizu. If you are passing through it is a great spot for a coffee (or beer if you aren't a driver), eating lunch (I had a tasty pita sandwich) and bulking up on fantastic types of bread that are hard to come by if you live outside of the big cities. I love the ambiance and the homage to the children of yesteryear. The owners are transplants but have revived the community in innovative ways and even use yeast from their beer to make their breads taste better and the scones are to die for. The decor, food and vibe all makes it a memorable experience.
