★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 空飛ぶ団子を見るために渓流近くの指定の場所から注文しました。店主の方が絶妙なスピードで団子を送ってくれました。行く際は、岩がゴツゴツしているので気を付けたほうがいいです。渓流近くの川もエメラルドグリーンでとてもキレイで来て良かったです。
団子もとても美味しく、醤油団子は少ししょっぱめだったので、食べる際は甘いのしょっぱいの交互に食べたほうがいいかも
 I ordered from a designated place near the mountain stream to see the flying dumplings. The owner sent the dumplings at an exquisite speed. When you go, you should be careful because the rocks are rugged. The river near the mountain stream was also emerald green and it was nice to come here.
The dumplings were also very delicious, and the soy sauce dumplings were a little salty, so it might be better to eat them alternately with sweet and salty.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Famous Dango shop known as a main tourist attraction in Genbikei.
You can have dango in the shop itself, which has a traditional setting. It overlooks the flowing waters in the gorge and there is a garden directly outside with beautiful flowers and butterflies flying about, painting a dreamy picture in summer.
An alternative is to cross the bridge and experience the famous "flying service". Near a pavillion, a basket is tied to a pulley which is connected to the Kakko Dango shop. You put 400yen in and knock on the wooden board using the hammer, and the chef pulls the basket up, puts in a box of 3 dango and 3 cups of ocha, and sends it back together with change (if any). The set comes with one sesame, one azuki and one mitarashi dango. Nothing much better in life that enjoying dango on a quiet afternoon by the gorge, just watching the waters flow by.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kakko dango is famous because you can order from Genbikei gorge hut and ordered dango dumpling on skewer, fly over the river in the basket, and delivered to you...but you can directly order on site, too....three flavors. Soy sause, anko sweet bean paste or black sesame paste.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We didn't buy the dumplings inside the store but from across the river - there is a pulley with a bucket in which you deposit the money and receive the dumplings in return. Three kinds (anko - Japanese sweet beans paste / goma - sweet sesame paste / mitarashi - soy sauce-based syrup) for JPY 500, all very tasty!
For foreign visitors there's a little extra service, but I won't describe it here, you'll have to see for yourself. ?

They have some tables set up on the other side of a small gorge and have a basket where you can drop money in, hit a drum, and then get your order of Dango’s. Definitely a nice shop. My wife liked the dangos a lot. I enjoyed the view and also seeing a guy pull a rope to get the basket with our money
