み	みのいち on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 隈戸川沿いの断崖に彫られた推定18世紀後半の磨崖仏群。38体あるそうですが、34体しか確認できませんでした。ちょっと意外だったのは不空羂索観音が多かったこと。一面三眼八臂のヒンドゥー教由来の仏で、日本では作例も決して多くないこの仏が八体も彫られているのが興味を持ちました。全ての衆生を羂索で救い出していただける御利益を願ってからこその刻み出しでしょうか？殆どは観音様ですが、阿弥陀様と薬師様の二体の如来様もいました。いずれの仏も素朴で微笑ましいお姿でした。日没近くに拝観しましたが、西陽が仏様を照らして神々しいのなんの！磨崖仏群で遊歩道は行き止まりですが、終点付近に随道が伸びていて、その先には小さな滝があります。20㍍程ですが真っ暗で大人一人が屈みながらがやっとです。足元の凹凸に気を取られていると頭をぶつけますからご注意を。痛かったぁ…?ちょっとした胎内潜りみたいでスリリングです。他にも随道がありましたが、匍匐前進を強いられるので止めました。磨崖仏とは関係のない明治時代の灌漑工事の名残だそうです。付近は史跡公園になっていて、良く整備された遊歩道が巡ります。珍しい野草も植えられ、説明板のQR コードを読みとらせると画像がでてきます。仏像群近くの“菊咲きいちげ”が咲く頃にまた訪れてみてます。 An estimated group of Buddha statues in the latter half of the 18th century carved on the cliffs along the Kumato River. It is said to be a remnant of irrigation work in the Meiji era, which has nothing to do with Makaibutsu. The area is a historic park with well-maintained promenades. Rare wildflowers are also planted, and an image will appear when you read the QR code on the explanation board. I will visit again when the "Kikusaki Ichige" near the Buddha statues blooms.
