瀬戸大橋が開通した1988年4月、橋自体が超A級の観光資源となることや、瀬戸大橋博覧会の開催等の要因もあり、瀬戸大橋観光ブームともいうべき状況となりました。
四国の主要観光地の入込客の状況をみると、前年同期比で栗林258%,琴平191%、道後温泉189%等となっており、各観光地とも大幅に増加しました。琴平は約２倍の集客増となり、当時の盛況さはそれはすごいものだったそうです。
今では、コロナ禍の影響で厳しい面もありますが、なんとかかつての盛況ぶりを取り戻してほしいところです。信用金庫は個人事業主や中小企業への強い味方でもありますので、今後の活躍に期待を寄せています。
