お店は田舎の住宅街にある昔ながらの食料品店という感じで、店前の駐車場に待合椅子と灰皿、夏だったので扇風機も置いてありました。 店がある地区は田んぼ、山に囲まれたのどかな風景が広がっており、こんな田舎にこれほど行列ができるのは異様な光景だと思います。 近隣住民の方達も普段、何かしら不都合があるだろうと考えながら車を停め、火曜の朝9時に到着したのですが、店は閉まっている様子。 外で水撒きをしていたおば様に声を掛けて頂き、臨時休業だけど、特別に用意してくれるとの事。神対応、感無量。もう一組お客さんも同様に。 店内は食料品店とうどんに並ぶ場所が分かれており、うどんを受け取ったら、食料品店を通り抜けて、共同駐車場の椅子で食べるといった感じです。行列出来て椅子が空いてなかったら、車内で食べるしかなさそうです。薬味コーナーには、ねぎ、生姜、醤油、味の素と課金の生玉子、温泉玉子が置かれていて自分好みにカスタマイズできます。普段は天ぷらコーナーがあるようです。味の素を少し加えるのがいいみたいです。 うどんはとっても歯応えがあってかなり強いコシがあり小麦の風味もとっても良くてこれは感動的な美味さでした。圧倒的な安さ、早さ、うまさ、優しさ。4.0超えも納得の田舎のコシ強うどんでした。

冷やし小230円+温泉卵70円 黄色い線の外側からおばちゃんに声をかけ、うどんが出来たら線の内側に入れるシステム(笑)コロナ対応ですね。 写真2枚目、渡された時の状態です。 いや、この綺麗な麺。 これにねぎ、生姜を入れて温泉卵を自分で割り、ぶっかけつゆを回しかける。 温泉卵は殻の内側に白身が付くので、ハート強い人は割り箸で殻の内側をこそげ取ることをオススメ。笑 出来上がったうどんを外でいただく。 ぶっちん、ごにょっ、ごわっ。 すごい。 記憶よりかなりの弾力。 数本口に入れるとなかなか噛みきれない。 うどんのガム噛んでるみたい(笑) そして食べ終わった後の小麦の香り、風味がバツグンに良し。 うーん、やっぱりここを超えるうどん屋さんはなかなか見つけられない。 個人的にねぎの風味が強すぎるのは好きではないので、次はネギ少なめにしよう。 ネギが切り方がわりと大きめなので、ネギ感が強かった…

香川県で一番好きなうどん屋さんです。 しかし、他県に住んでいるため、なかなか行けず、前回から10年以上過ぎてしまいました。でも、どうしても食べたくなり、チャレンジする事3回、連休前の臨時休業?や、長蛇の列だったりで、縁がなかったのか食べる事が出来ませんでした。 そして遂に4回目のチャレンジにして食べる事が出来ました。今回は開店の30分以上前に、お店に着くよう行きました。コロナ対策なのか、並ばずにグループ毎の札を取って待つようになってました。30分前で11番の札をゲットしました。車で待っていると開店の10分ぐらい前にお店の方が出てきました。それから外に出て番号順に並ぶようになり、グループ毎に注文を聞いてくれました。温かいの大と、冷たいの小を頼みました。 順番がきて店内で、うどんをもらい、ねぎをかけ、温かい方には卵を追加して、醤油をかけてから食料品店を通り出る前に、天ぷらを購入しました。天ぷらの代金はこの時払います。 お店を出て、車に戻り、食べました。 ……やっぱり美味しい! 十数年ぶりの須崎食料品店さんのうどん。諦める事なく来た甲斐がありました。うどんを食べ終わり、お店に戻り器を返して、うどんと玉子の会計をしてお店を後にしました。 来て本当によかったです。また必ず行きます! ごちそうさまでした♪

熱いのと冷たいの両方注文 平日の11:00ごろ訪問したんだけど 運良く並ばずに入れました。 熱い方は生卵で。 うーん美味しい♪ 冷たい方はそのままで。 冷たい方が好みかな。 麺が太く噛みごたえあります。冷たい方が香りが感じられた。 初めにうどんの注文をし、うどんが提供されたら薬味とお好みで卵を入れる。 隣接の食料品店でちくわ天とコロッケがトッピングできるようです。 駐車場はお店の前に15台程度 お店の手前50mくらいのところにも15台程度の駐車場がありました。 舗装された意外と広めの駐車場でした。 美味かった〜 キャッシュオンリー

Very popular udon shop attached to the family shop next door. Have won several awards. Cars from all over Japan come to taste early in the morning. The udon themselves are very chewy. I regret having the udon cold as it made them even harder to chew when cold and I'd imagine having it warm would give it just the right texture. But very interesting regardless and well worth a try.
