S	Sophie Louisa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In May 2020 I engaged the services of Shigyo lawyers to help me establish a business in Japan & to apply for residency visas. We originally had Miho San as our lawyer, and she was fantastic! Unfortunately, she left the company and I had Kimoto San & Kevin San take over. They then changed the name of my company on their internal documents & I asked them to change it back numerous times, but I was assured that it didn't matter. The company was successfully created and unfortunately all of my corporate applications/business data has to have the incorrect name on it. It was really difficult to communicate with Kimoto San & Kevin San, as they would not respond to any emails from me... they would only respond to my husband. On numerous occasions my husband had to follow up on emails that I had sent them, to ask them to please respond to me. It was so odd to feel completely ignored, I felt like I had stepped back in time to the 1950's! We were finally able to get our visa's in December 2021 (I delayed the process for 3 months). However, it still took 15 months for the company to be created & registered. It then took an additional 4 months get residency visa's. Perhaps their strength lies in visa application, as the company establishment was the lengthiest process with a lot of miscommunication & hiccups along the way. Unfortunately I would not recommend this company to other females wanting assistance in creating a company. If you're a male, then I'm sure you'd have a really positive experience!
