主軸長90m、後円部径55mであり、村田盆地では最大で、県内では第三位の規模である。前方部が低平で後円部との比高が大きい点が特徴で、葺石が葺かれ、円筒埴輪が並んでいたものと思われる。最近のレーダー探査や採集された埴輪の検討の結果、古墳時代前期に築造され、竪穴式石室を持つものと推定されている。
 It is located on a hill, with a circle at the front. The highest point on the hill near the central part of the west side of the Murata basin, it is located in a place that can overlook the basin.
It has a main axis of 90 m and a back circle diameter of 55 m, the largest in the Murata basin, and the third largest in the prefecture. It is characterized by the fact that the front part is low and the relative height to the back circle part is large, and it is thought that meteorites are covered and cylindrical rings are arranged. As a result of the recent radar exploration and examination of the collected Minowa, it is estimated that it was built in the early Kofun period and has a pit-hole type stone chamber.

愛宕山古墳は主軸長90m、後円部径55mであり、村田盆地では最大で、県内では第三位の規模である。前方部が低平で後円部との比高が大きい点が特徴で、葺石が葺かれ、円筒埴輪が並んでいたものと思われる。最近のレーダー探査や採集された埴輪の検討の結果、古墳時代前期に築造され、竪穴式石室を持つものと推定されている。
薬師堂古墳は主軸長35mで、愛宕山古墳の陪塚(大型古墳に隣接するように造られた小型古墳)と思われる。
Both are keyhole-shaped tumuli, located on the same hill, and the Yakushido tumulus is located 20 meters northwest of the Atagoyama tumulus. It is located on the hill in the central part of the west side of the Murata basin, overlooking the basin.
