It is an interesting shrine with a stone statue of sumo wrestlers. Free parking is available. Unfortunately, something that looked like a ring was covered with a blue sheet.

Yukari Nomiyado "Sumo Shrine" ... The Confucian Antarctual Shrine is lined up in the Gosho shrine in 1873 and promoted to a prefectural shrine in 1928 and enshrines Nominosukune as a shrine. It is said that Norimajuku was a sumo wrestler in the world of Emperor Surin, one of the Australian tribes who was said to have been in Toma-eup, Yamatokuni (North Katsuragi-gun, Nara). According to the Article 7 of July 7th, Emperor Tarin in "Nihonshoki," Toma Shohaya was proud of his powerful sumo wrestling technique, and he was always looking for an opponent, but he was hated by his emperor. It is said that the Emperor confronted Nomi-juku, who was invited from Izumo, and his armpits were crushed and his waist was also crushed.

If you drive along the prefectural road, you will find the information board for Sumo Shrine. There are other routes, but if you don't access them from here, it will be a big deal. It's fine if it's a motorcycle. Nomi no Sukune wrestled here, didn't he? It seems that Sekitori is still coming to visit us. Sumo is the work of God. I'm grateful that the car can be parked in the precincts.

If you like sumo, this is the place you want to visit at least once. It was a surprisingly small shrine ?

According to the Nihon Shoki, the place where Taima no Kehaya and Nomi no Sukune performed the first sumo wrestling during the time of Emperor Suinin was said to be the small-sized sumo shrine of the Daiheijin Shrine. Is built, and there is a mound that is said to be the grave of Nomi no Sukune, the winner of the Tenkan Sumo. At that time, sumo wrestling was different from the current form, and it was said that the legs were kicking each other. On 21/11/05, I visited the Daiheishu Shrine after visiting it. Somehow, it seemed to be under maintenance and the ground was covered with a vinyl sheet. Cherry trees are planted in the precincts, and the Yamato basin can be seen from a small hill, so I think spring will be beautiful.

It is said to be the place where Nomi no Sukune and Taima no Kehaya fought with their horns in front of Emperor Suinin. Kakuriki is said to be the originator of sumo, and even now, the sumo world is still called the Kakukai. The actual martial arts are like mixed martial arts, and at Taima no Kehaya, the ribs popped out, and the kicked hip bone broke, and it seemed that there was a match. There was a new monument to the victory of Tokushoryuseki and a commemorative tree planting.

I call myself the national skill of Japan, and I expected a fine shrine, but this is a kind of small shrine rather than a shrine. This has eaten the shoulder. It seems that the reason for calling himself sumo is that the two people who are proud of their mysterious power described in the Nihon Shoki are enshrined. In the first place, it is stated that these two people did something more like a death match than a sumo wrestling in front of Emperor Taruhito, whose existence is threatened archaeologically, and they fought. It's completely different from the current image of sumo wrestling. The prototype of the sumo wrestling was formed in the Edo period, and when the events of this sumo wrestling shrine are set archaeologically, it seems that it will be around the latter half of the 3rd century, a little after the time of Mr. Yasuko. Well, I feel that I forcibly applied the events of the tradition, but if I say such a thing, Kakihara Jingu will be completely empty, so I wonder if it is necessary to take adult measures. I want to have enough room to put my face on the face-saddle sign and take a commemorative photo. Isn't it amazing to make contact with the Grand Sumo Association and build a magnificent monument?

While Sumo is a national sport, the state of this shrine doesn't reflect this.
